There's also some community skew based on language. Most of this community is focused on either English or Japanese games, very rarely are games made in another language without a translation put on this site or the other one and I rarely see them on itch either. Most people with English as a first language are white, probably less than 10% of the worldwide English first language population is black. My guess is if you could find a similar community in Hindi most of the games would feature mostly Indian characters.
