They made it into a TV show but I enjoyed the book version of "The Magicians". I really like the idea of magic but it not being all amazing and wonderful and the book taking a more realistic approach to what the world would look like. Always been a fan of card tricks and also magic as a kid and this fits my love for magic so perfectly.

any world where making enough money to comfortably survive on would be enough for me ... , Assuming things stayed as easy as they are in these types of games, anything like stardew or similar farming sims would be great

I would kill to live in stardew valley honestly. The easy life enjoying nature.

If you were given a choice on your death bed to relive life in any book, game, movie, tv show, or comic what would you pick and why? You can either regain your memories or go the whole time without knowing. If you regain your memories you are free to change the story as you see fit or based on what you want or you can simply let it run its course. You can also either be the main character, side character, or a new character entirely. Youd decide after dying and before waking in the world youve chosen.

Personally If I given chance when I die. I prefer to be reincarnated and live in a world of Final Fantasy XII.

The reason is as an avid and biggest fan of Final Fantasy game from 7 to 16. All of those Final Fantasy always revolved around the world gonna go full apocalypse.

FF7 : with Sephiroth and Mato shenanigans
FF10 : With Samsara cycle and every 10 years you will face world ending disaster like Sin.
FF X-2 : With a souls destroying superweapon capable to cull half of continent worth of human souls.
FF13 : Cosmic shenanigans that treaten the world to extinct
FF15 : A world super cancer that devour the world into eternal darkness
FF16 : A God that want to go full reset on the world and destroy all life.

As much as I like Final Fantasy world and all of its magical and crystal fantasy. God damm those world is depressing as fuck.

Atleast in Final Fantasy 12. The biggest problem the world face in FF12 is these 2 cold war superpower getting ready to war with one another.

But after my ramblings, tge biggest reaaon If given chance I want to live in FFXII world. Is mainly because the world artsyle and worldbuilding is so majestic that there's many diffrebt kind of flavor that you want to live a live. If you like Archaic Medieval Kingdom, you will like living in Dalmasca. If you like living a pirate style and sailing is your freedom than you will like Balfonheim Ports. If you like a modern metropolis where amenities like in our world exist but still like that fantasy archaic style, then you will love Archades.

And that's reason why. FFXII is the most mild and not so heavy world end treatening like others FF series but has the most unique and style worldbuilding that you will love in Fantasy.

Sincerely, I'm always indecise when i think about it. A peaceful, lazy living, with some quality of life, to me seems to be ideal, not needing to worry abouth death, hunger, thirst or money, but may be considered stagnant. An exciting world with powers, fights and challenges may be good sometimes, but what if you're not able to face what comes for you, or those you may come to befriend and love? There's also the point that going into those worlds, and knowing what may happen, doesn't mean we're going to make the right choices or be given the chance to.

With all that being said, I sincerelly would like to go to a mix of worlds, Bayonetta, Devil May cry and Supernatural, as a self insert of Jubileus. On that note, if anyone is interested in a good fanfic about Bayonetta, I recommend "Most Omnipotent Goddess", which is why I also want to be a self insert of Jubileus

I think with the MC addition where you can choose to to the Main Character and are able to rewrite the story I would pick one of any of the superhero genre For example superman or Xmen Pick a MC and remove all the weaknesses from your world aka Kryptonite or the Sentinel program.

If I couldn't have the MC plot armor and had to be a regular mob I would pick something benign in danger but unique enough so its not another Earth for example a LOTR or D&D setting so I can do some fantasy exploring if I happen to have an aptitude but also not necessary to function in the world.
