discussion How often do you guys play as the opposite sex?

Mainly play MMC games but if a FMC is done particularly well then will always give it a go

Whenever the game I'm playing has a protagonist of the opposite sex, I play as it. I don't really really relate to most protagonist characters anyways, so I don't really care if i play as a male, female or cat (Stray).
Even for porn games, it's not like I am a character in the game, so the only thing that really matters is whether the content is lewd, not really who or what I play as.

When given a choice, it depends. If the game allows me to create a cute character, I might create a female or androgynous character. If there is no perk either way, and I cannot make something cute, I just tend to go for a male character. For some porn games, I make one of both to see all scenes and events.

when i can, i play female. but im female, and its rare that games give you this option, so quite often do i play as the forced male protag. now this isnt always the case though. if a game offers pregnancy but only for the male protag (impregnating npcs) i will probably at least try the male protag.

in porn games very little i think of the MC as my alter-ego and me being a straight guy so no, outside of porn games it about the game story it self so it dont not matter as much but playing as a guy always a plus for me,

I never played the male protagonist when games offer a female protagonists...okay i also delete them right away if i run into an unavoidable dick, so pregnancy isnt a variable for me ^^

Probably 8 out of 10 times male MC. But doesn't really matter as long as the game is good.

its very rare unless i am forced to. but it does indeed happen. i dont think it has happened in quite a while though. when given the choice i have exclusively picked female.

Games with a third-person camera are better with women, since you'll spend the entire game looking at the character's butt

I almost exclusively play male MCs but it's not because I search for it, it just happens that every game I want to play has a male lead. I would love to play more variety but it has to be a game I'd want to play

Hmm.. Well it really depends on whether it is a lewd videogame or not.
As pertaining to lewd videogames... As a male I would like to see the penis being used in sexual interactions. Fellatio, tittyfucking, penetration, things like that are what I enjoy the most in games. I am not much of a fingering or rubbing kind of person. This is why I usually play as a male in lewd videogames.
However, when it comes to non-lewd games, I have recently made a shift to enjoying playing as female characters more. Especially in games where you can customize your character, it is quite the eye candy to play as a female character. Not only is their body more appealing to look at, but their voices are more harmonious to my ears as well.

Now, what is EVEN BETTER is playing as a feminine character with a penis (futanari/shemale/mtf trans, etc etc even femboys/traps to be honest) like in Baldur's Gate 3. I prefer to play as a woman with a penis in that game. You get to undergo lewd scenes where your character is the one using their penis AND you get to enjoy the feminine voice and appearance. Hitting two birds with one rock.

If you are a female MC, you may only have your own events, so if you don't like the character, avoid it.
