For the sake of fantasy, no hair there is my preference, no matter the age. It's not an instant turn-off when I see trimmed or light in a game, but generally, the hairier and more realistic, the more it starts to be a no-go in my book. But if it's a fantasy world why can't we just do away with things we find inconvenient or maybe even mildly unappealing, right? I don't imagine that the world of adult games are filled with people who constantly shave/wax to maintain that. It's just baked into the world that it doesn't grow, or that no maintenance is required.

In the world of reality, the question is much thornier. Do I have a preference? Yes. But, it's unrealistic to expect bare/trimmed all or most of the time. It's nice when you are comfortable and open with someone to the point that you can share preferences and they may do some extra trimming to please you. I feel strongly that it's not a good thing for us as a society if we are constantly shaming people for their bodies. I prefer as little as possible, but accept that it's how we are as a species.
