A little trimmed is alright, but if it's actually hairy I don't like it.
It's good to see some variety, so I don't mind seeing it sometimes, but if the girl is a reccurring character it's best to have an option for her to shave.

For variety on some less important characters, sure, whatever. But on the main LIs it would be a clear negative. And as much as trimming is a necessity to overcome any fear of potential bats or whatever-may-lurks it still isn't enough.
However, having characters talk about their pubic hairstyle and which products and dye they use, would be weird enough to amuse me.
