funny enough was talking about this in a different discussion so I'll mostly repeat what I said there but just add, story hands down with graphics adding to it.

what more do you need then ah tah

but in all seriousness the 1 thing I do care about is "Is it funny?" yes I do want it to look good too but if they can make me laugh then I don't care if it's two stick figures mashing into each other

story for sure, a good story can make u overlook the graphics easier than if it was the other way round

Definitely story must be a priority. There's a shit ton of games with great graphics but horrible story. The all fail at some point.

I've gotta give it to graphics here, the heroine are one of the most important aspects of these types of games, and if they're bland, boring or just plain bad looking, why should I be interested in your game to begin with.

Damn difficult question, if the graphics isn't good, I don't really get to love the characters, if the story isn't good, I don't read the text.

So can't really say one or the other...

Both are important, but so what if the game has beautiful graphics if the story is shallow and lame, I'm tired of games that present a story where everything that moves is waiting to be screwed. A good Slowburn story like in “A Wife and Mother” is great.

For me it's the story. Since I also enjoy text based games a lot without any graphics. I appreciate good graphics though, but if the story sucks I loos interest, if the story is great and the art style not my thing or bad it's often still enjoyable.

Story first. If the graphics are good it's even better. Only thing that could ruin the game is the lack of realism in graphics (monster boobs/ass for example).

Both are important but, story is the most important.

Story. Graphics are a nice bonus but if the story drags, I just end up skipping to see the animations and then delete it.

I choose the game I play according to the graphics. But I often give up because the story isn't very good (or I've seen it so many times before).
And the fact that I'm not very good in English doesn't help (I choose simple stories).

Yeah, with bad graphics (cartoon-koikatsu or the WTMF wash my eyes out with bleach horrible looking) it's not worth even starting to play.

Gotta be taken at least a little by the story. GFX aint worth a damn on thier own.

There is a minimum level of graphics that I would say is needed. After that story is far more crucial.

The gameplay, even the most low poly models can do it if its engaging
