discussion How important is an engaging storyline to you?

Graphics, how hard is it to write a story? i have yet to find a game with a bad story but i have found many with great stories and bad graphics

It really depends, such as with something like RPGM, Its mostly just plain anime images used, so the story is what needs to hook me, but if its something with really good graphics then the story doesnt really matter much!, Unless its too wacky, which then becomes a turn off.

I think it´s a little bit easier to allow for a shitty story, if graphics are great, than the other way round.

It depends on what you're interests are. If you're looking for a quick fap, graphics are king. But if you're looking for entertainment, an engaging story line is most important.

Honestly couldn't have said it better myself. I have plenty of shitty games that have really good graphics but I also have good story games that aren't quite the best in terms of quality.

I have to agree, is certainly a combination of everything, but story remains my main interest.

I will always be attracted to a good story. It kind of shocks me that some people don't care for it at all but I'm also a bookworm so there's that as well.

It has to be a balance between the two, but hey they are not excusive to one another, look at light of my life for example, it has a very particular style but the story is very good, such a sharp pain story although not bad, its messy, but the graphics and renders are superb.

You can look up a game's imageset online pretty easy, but without the context provided by the game's story, they're usually far more generic and boring. So I'd argue the story is more important to really getting the best out of a lewdy game.

Bookworm here as well! I can't stand when pornography doesn't have a story at all! If it's weak or not the main focus? I can take that...

story def. it's easier to improve graphics later than fix a plot once it's been released.

Imo an adult game with a good story id definitely important, but...I think the most important things are character design, art/animation quality, and appeal to different fantasies. Those things are what seperates one game from another and are ultimately the backbone for a good game. Unfortunately story matters the least when it comes to these games, but It's what turns something from "just a porn game" to an unforgettable experience.

That is a good take in my book, triple A games have gone down that route for years and it seems to be working for them.

I would say I would need at least some balance between the 2, though I do think that the graphics will turn me away faster than the story.

if it doesnt look good, it wont peak the interest and its good chance that would skip it without noticing it, unless got all the tags i am looking for

but if its shit story lots of ppl also wont stick it, unless its simulator or certain genre games

so yeah those days when there are so many games and devs you need both for chance.
