For me, the slow burn with a lot of teasing is even hotter usually than the resulting sex scene. However, if there is never any payoff, that just sucks. That's the risk of in-progress games that may be abandoned at any moment.

For me, that's the shit you rapidly click/hold ctrl if you know it's there - or don't play that game in the first place.

There's a plethora of other games you could play like Netorare games, Harem games, etc. if you can't fathom things like reading, relationship building and character development. Not every game has to be an all out porn-a-thon. If you can't handle slow burns then simply watch porn, look at adult comics or play something else. Hard decisions, I know.

For me, gameplay is the most important thing, everything else is just a spicy add-on. I had to go through VN (with pleasure), where there was no sex for the first 4-5 hours of gameplay. At the same time, such examples of fuckfest as Reunion or Grandma's House caused nothing but desperate boredom (and eventually went to the trash bin).

Hard to say. A lot of decent ones, but still way too many blueball ones and ones with stuff I hate like fantasy, ntr, futa, blackmail..
Saying to watch porn is just silly, as that isn't interactive. That's why I hate kinetic novels.

i like awam story wise, and the fact that her son, husband, son's friend, student, maid, neighbor, friend's son, casino guy, daughter, and the soccer mom are all possible partners requires lots of planning and writing i would imagine, but i would hope in the next update or two that the paths get more action. That said if you really want a dev that screwed their fans gumdrop games did that with dual family, some teasing and sex they wanted 10 chapters and strung people along more and more then redid it and then kept their money and bailed.

There's so much that can be said, but the TLDR is: most people like different things.

1-I personally put Slow Burn (or Blue-Balling as per the OP) in the same category as Fem-Dom, NTR, Violence (of MC or LI), Rape, WS, Scat, Vore, etc... i.e. "Not my bag."
2-Why not watch porn? I prefer still pictures, esp. AVNs. Brings me back to when the only source was magazines. Magazines are... papers that... fuck it. Ask your grandparents.
3A-Slow Burn is sometimes (often?) used as an excuse to milk customers with "something good is coming... honest".
3B-Slow Burn LI are often the most rounded, well made characters, with NO scenes, so then the dev puts in a side piece LI scene says "See? There's a sex scene in this release."
3C-And then, the dev takes HUGE development time crafting a "story" with "writer's block" but "pretty please, subs, keep on paying".
4-Some... SOME... Slow Burn defenders are part of the "ONLY POSITIVE COMMENTS" brigade which... well... they'll never change.

Finally, the biggest problem with Slow Burns, is that there's NO LABEL that says "THIS is a legit good slow burn instead of the milking shit that SOME devs use to scam."
I'd say you can only tell when the game is complete. Why? "Slow Burn" without the "Burn"... is just "Slow". Sucks with a Patreon model, doesn't it?

I'm sure there's plenty of good Slow Burns out there. But due to objective and subjective differences, we the customers/pirates argue about which is which.
Gimme a good "Meet and Fuck" kinetic AVN and I'm all set... which is THE definition of bad or boring for other players. Different tastes, man, different tastes.
