No but fr it's just the fact that it's forbidden. Forbidden love being interesting is something that traces back throughout literature. Pretty sure it's in Gilgamesh tbh. Romeo & Juliet is literally the same kind of deal.

In modern society though there arent many things forbidden on that scale anymore, so it's one way to chase that high.
