I think this would interesting because it would take place before all societal taboos existed, such as age differences.

Interesting. Would be brutal getting all the assets, though. There are fantasy games that are set in a past, but caveman time? One issue would be plot. Every day boils down to avoiding getting eaten by a sabretooth tiger. Things like jobs and traffic and grocery shopping and so on provide opportunities for plotlines. It would take a lot of imagination to make something relatable and engaging in that prehistoric setting.

Could just simply be a love story, involving some different challenges to survival. And they still had social dynamics of tribes back then, just not complex ideologies & cultures. Could easily fill a 3 hour visual novel, maybe not a 30 hour game though.

So you run around, smash heads with your club and drag the females back into your cave?
Could be someone made a flash game with this concept, but i'm not into furries so i dont know, i just remember times when flashgames were very popular.

The characters would look interesting if it was going for realism. Depending on how far back you go, there'd barely be more words than onomatopoeia so it would be kind of hard to communicate with more than an action.

Closest I can think is Story, where your modern-day character gets isekaied to a fantasy world and falls in with a roughly Paleolithic group. It's not long before he leaves them for a more advanced community though.

I do like the idea though. I think there's plenty of plot angles you could take- pretty much any interpersonal conflict you'd find in a modern setting would likely have some parallel back then. MC's tribe under attack from a stronger one? MC has to complete some kind of manhood ceremony? MC's father has died and now he must prove to his sisters that he can be the Man of the Cave? Etc.

Though I think it would be more interesting to not totally scrap all those societal taboos. That's a lot of what gives an AVN story tension. Maybe the cavemen tribe doesn't have the same taboos as 2024 America but they probably aren't cool with absolutely everything. Could also use a displaced modern-day character as the protagonist, and have the taboos be on his side and he's freaked out that the cavemen are cool with whatever it is ("the chief will be very insulted if you don't accept his daughter, outsider" "but she's only 1-!").

There's an RPGM game I can't remember the name of. The main character becomes immortal in a prehistoric village. Because women are treated so poorly in the village you have to complete a bunch of tasks to progress the story, otherwise your character is going to literally get fucked. It ends with your character falling asleep for thousands of years before waking up at what was supposed to be the start of a second game that never got made. Light on sex but at least there's one such game that exists. Plus some short flash Flinstones parodies.

Only if you want a DAZ game, or any other 3d. Hand drawn has unlimited potential.

I think such a game would be very unnecessary. Instead, a game that reflects the reality of slave traders in Roman times or in the time of Alexander the Great can be made in auctions where women are sold from time to time. It can be a game where we establish a harem and then corrupt those in that harem and earn income by selling or renting them to other nobles and earning income for the rise of our dynasty. It might be pimping in modern terms, but things worked a little differently in those days. It could have been a sustainable and constantly updatable game where we could generate more revenue by making male characters fight in the arena and, if necessary, become corrupt enough to cause their deaths.

I think that the fact that a thing is taboo is a big part of why people find it appealing as a fantasy.

Do you have a link or creator name or any more info? Searching "story" alone yields too many results.

Porn from before appropriate human hygiene existed

Dev name is "story and magic". F_95zone link (remove asterisk): https://f*95zone.to/threads/story-v0-3-story-and-magic.110815/.

Unfortunately it's abandoned though, I meant to add that before.

Honestly, you don’t have to get bogged down in realism. You could just lean into a completely on-the-nose parody of modern life in a caveman setting. Think The Flintstones style.

Replace cars with stone wheels and boxes, moved by dangling your feet. Swap apartments for mountains carved out with little holes to live in. Streetlights? Stone poles with torches on top. Jobs, shopping, commuting. It's all exaggerated in that same playful way.

It wouldn’t need to be historically accurate at all; the humor comes from translating everyday modern life into absurdly primitive forms. That alone could carry a fun, relatable story.

It sounds really interesting! I would love to see something like that if it has some mechanics or some ideas well-implemented around the theme. For example the communication with the girls in the game "Tame it".

If it's anywhere close to realism it just sounds dirty and unappealing to me. I like my broads dolled up.

I once saw a real bad art styled game that is about this caveman topic, people just be making anything. And more important, you were the cuck in this game
