Could just simply be a love story, involving some different challenges to survival. And they still had social dynamics of tribes back then, just not complex ideologies & cultures. Could easily fill a 3 hour visual novel, maybe not a 30 hour game though.Interesting. Would be brutal getting all the assets, though. There are fantasy games that are set in a past, but caveman time? One issue would be plot. Every day boils down to avoiding getting eaten by a sabretooth tiger. Things like jobs and traffic and grocery shopping and so on provide opportunities for plotlines. It would take a lot of imagination to make something relatable and engaging in that prehistoric setting.
Only if you want a DAZ game, or any other 3d. Hand drawn has unlimited potential.Would be brutal getting all the assets, though.
I think that the fact that a thing is taboo is a big part of why people find it appealing as a fantasy.I think this would interesting because it would take place before all societal taboos existed, such as age differences.
Closest I can think is Story, where your modern-day character gets isekaied to a fantasy world and falls in with a roughly Paleolithic group.
