I think the game will cost $70 and then additionally make a ton of money from microtransactions.

I don't think it's crack 100, maybe 80 for like a digital deluxe edition or something.

GTA 6 will likely be the most sought-after game, I'm guessing crackers will be hard at work. And since I have no interest whatsoever in online multiplayer, I can wait as long as I need to.

What? you do not want to play a online mode full no lifers with horrific grind no security and its per 2 per im shocked /s

Yeah same boat here

Honestly I think the 70 dollar price tag is to high, and for a lot of the slop that gets pushed 60 is to high as well.
But 100? That's just insane

This comment section has customers that think 100 is fine there is also comment section that think 100 is cheap sadly

it will be free on cs.rin (.) ru .... not that im gonna play but by this price is well worth tolerate the jank of cracking a game

Honestly, we're pretty lucky that games have been 60 bucks for so long. That's like a few hours of work these days I don't want it to change but eventually it will, the only problem I see is the price going up and the quality continuing to go down.

$30 a hour clear? must be a nice job

Screw market like that, just remember to vote with your wallet. Good games can be done for much less than 500 million $, a recent example - Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Instead of whining about growing costs, they should focus on being competitive on the market. Games from China will soon flood the market seizing the opportunity and shitty studios from the West will close down under pressure. At least gamers will be happy since games will be great again

Was more concerned with the specs needed but I remember I have a dusty ps5 in the bottom of my table honestly I wouldn't mind 100 dollars Rockstar has never really disappointed

I don't concern about it's price because still have no intentions to buy it. My concern is about other new games will increase its prices after this release.

More like few days in my country, and it's called decent well payed job.

Still, torrents exist, and I'm very grateful for this.

Now this is just talk but as we know the ps5 brought in $70 games the playstation 6 is next year and you got AAA budgets between 400-700 million for trash.

Would you accept AAA games at $80 AA games at $60?

Edit February 12th 2025 the game could be sold as 2 versions.

correction: the MINIMUM price will be 100, that's before micro transactions and dlc fees.

If it has 100+ hours of content I know it's controversial but I think it will be worth it.
Can always wait for a sale too lol.

They won't do it. Not 100 dollars/euros. They would shoot theirselfs in the foot because most of the profits come from microtransactions.
If the entry price for the sharkcard storefront called GTA online cost a hundred dollars, they will lose potential costumers (me included) to buying in game currencies.
But then again, I could see the possibility for a 100 dollar game if, and only if.

GTA online is free to play.

Then I believe the backlash would minimal. How will they justify it? They won't, there is no justification.

But since most of the profits would come from online. Since only gamers interested in single player would pay for a hundred the story. Just as Fortnite split its game with the story(cost) and battleroyal(ftp) and we know which was profitable.

There will be a battlepass, (skins for vehicles, weapons. cosmetics trinkets for weapons.) I don't believe there will be paywalled apparel or bound to battlepasses.
Maybe seasonal car( all vehicles) and weapons/gadgets unlocks bound to free tier battlepass which would be a incentive to look at the payed tier.

fair enough, I mean it's a lot of money but there you'll have hundred of hours of content, most AAA games nowadays cost 60-80 dollars and last 20h

There was also talk of a realism engine being put in, but I don't know if they are seeing it through. The thought was that when you die in game, you lose everything you have on you, so your cash, weapons, access to vehicle, phone, etc. and you'd have to sort of start over to an extent. Thankfully the original suggestion of if you die in game you lose absolutely everything and have to start from scratch was just a theory that was instantly dropped though
