Overview:
One day in early summer, the protagonist finds used sanitary napkins stuffed in his slippers.

You need to overwrite the files in ShiroiPants\OSHICCO\Script with the 2 files in the English patch directory. It will then give you and Engrish version with lots of tense and pronoun weirdness.

Tried that and it still wouldnt work, it was trying to run it like a DVD or something equivalent.

It worked for me as well. The translation is only for the in game text. The menus aren't translated.

Ok, in the past, games were released on DVDs and were ripped as ISOs and distributed on Usenet, as partial files in various newsgroups. You need to mount the iso and run the install program to get the game onto your computer. Then you can copy the patch files into the script directory. You should also look for a locale changer that will allow you to run the game in Japanese since lots of the game is not touched by the English patch.

Along those lines, I got bored and decided to investigate what it would take to update the English patch. Turns out the game is made in the EAGLS Engine, which has almost no online information about it. I haven't found a way to edit most of the resource files yet but did find a way to unpack and repack the script files.

I have been using DeepL and my own language skills to update the patch. It is a very tedious process and I have only finished Episode 1, the Beginning. Is there any interest in this?

If so, I can point out the tools and maybe others can work on additional episodes. I am partly through Episode 2 Glue right now.

edit - I finished through episode 3 as a proof of concept. I may work on this some more but here is what I have.
