Games straight to point or games you have to grind?

I subscribe to the "Keep it simple, stupid" design principle.

Everyone wins and games aren't to complicated.

You shouldn't need to grind for days or hrs just to see a pixelated sex scene.

I love "straight to the point" games.

My favorite games are ones like SexBot.

Ashley is the hottest character in a long time.

Some grind games can be OK with a cheat engine, so you skip the grind.

But if it is a grind + minigames, then I won't touch it.

I especially hate the ones with grind + minigames + "time" mechanics. Where you have to be at a certain location at a certain time, with certain preconditions unlocked.
Fuck that shit.

A bit of grind is good. I do not like if the game can be autoplayed

The "good" purpose of grind is to give the feeling of progression, the illusion of accomplishment. However often grind mostly just gristle used to pad out a lack of content.

I view grind in games to be like MSG. A cook can use MSG to make good food taste better, but mostly its used by food companies to give "food" with the nutrition value of cardboard addictive properties.

Personally, I dislike grindy games.
Especially ones with timers, you have to be in the kitchen, with the money, at exactly 11pm on Monday night to trigger a certain scene.

I find that most times, grind in an AVN is just a method of dragging out the content to create a sense that you've earned something that the developer had no way to let you earn through narrative and to make it seem like the game has more content than it actually has.

My biggest pet peeve is when someone that is making a Renpy based game starts to think they are a triple AAA development studio working with Chris Roberts to release their masterpiece. I don't mind a bit of a grind, and I like a game to actually have gameplay but you're no going to reinvent the wheel. It's a text based game with stills for the most part so keep that in mind.

I prefer somewhere in between, enough for you to feel like the grind is worth it but at the same time you didn't felt you spent a lot of time grinding. And also that it'd be nice if you'd also be rewarded with something nice at the end too.

If its too easy and really straight to the point there is no need for this game. You can easily watch a video haha
There needs to be some way to grind for "your" success

I think having to work for a sex scene does make it more special, as long as it's not a complete slog to the point I get frustrated

Straight to the point for me unless there is some story reason.

Completely depends on my mood: Short term gratification or long term?

Thats why I have multiple games on the go at once.

I don't want to play a game.. I want to partake in a story.

I like the grind when it's justified and well implemented in the mechanics. (In strive for power, I think the grind is well implemented.)
But in some cases, it feels like the grind has been added just to waste my time. (in superpowered, it feels super slow and boring)

Some grind is ok but when the story doesn't progress because you have to grind away for days or weeks, then that is just too much

I like to pursue my LI and seduction. It's more exciting in my opinion. Absence of build up and quick fap games bore me because I'm saying myself classic porn would do a better job if I wanted something fast.

It depends. A straight up VN like a Dumb Koala is great, but also a grindy slow reveal like the CeLaVie games - which are grindy as hell, but each time you get a slightly extended scene and it's like crack, just gotta get one more haha

I dislike grind.
I mostly dislike pointless story, because it's pointless. There are some exceptions to this when the story is actually good but those are the exceptions.
I also dislike games which go so straight to the point that there is no build-up to the sex.

I do like choices, where there are different approaches to get a love interest, or where you have to choose between love interests.
I also like story build up, but it must be somewhat on point. For example, in Melody, there was too much music stuff. In DmD, the actual story length was probably similar but there were less boring distractions.

depends on the time. I like grind because it builds anticipation for the end. like working towards a goal an achieving it. this only applies to games with well designed grind though. the best would be a middle ground however if i was to have to choose one between the both of them as extremes then i probably would pick straight to point. grind when done well though is miles better than straight to the point.

No grind. Grind and teasing suck.

I like to grind a bit, but not with repetitive actions (same scenes over and over). I do like it when every girl has a different challenge to get them in bed.
