I wish someone would make a remake of it with much less grind or ditch the sandbox and make it a VN game entirely. I hate how you can literally waste 10 hours of your life seducing the hot mama only to see nothing or, what is worse, encounter some game breaking bug.

I've been lucky and have not encountered a game breaking bug. And I like sandbox I just wish there was a more clear tracker and way to determine if you have seen all the content. Also learning how to start certain routes makes no sense sometimes.

- is it an apparently japanese game or not?

I don´t know the engine used.
It is not japanese or manga.
It is very choice driven iIrc.
It were not in the updates pages for a couple month on the usual game sites.

I described some scenes in the spoiler.
Here are some other.
The bullisister "accidentally" drops coffee over the main protagonist pullover.
based on your choice you wear the same thing nerdy style after changing at home or more "risky"


You can play with the main protagonist cat in the first scenes.
In the first scene you can masturbate. Then when the protagonist change to the blonde friend you can masturbate with the same toy.

Free Use house is one I played and it's ok, although a bit tedious

I like it when it's done well.

It can give you freedom to progress the game at your pace, prioritize things that you like, and opt out of things that you don't.

Usually gives additional story choices that tailor the story to your interests. And some has different game features like fighting, working, explore, that makes it feel like a "game" game, which I personally prefer more than VN's.

Lastly, it adds replayability value due to the ability to choose different routes in each playthrough.

My recommendations would be:
- Lust Harem [Xiongmao];
- Apocalypse Lovers [Awake] - not on lewdcorner;
- A Family Venture [WillTylor];
- The Imperial Gatekeeper [Tengsten].
