I disagree because sandbox games usually annoy me with all the grind, but I would be open to be proven wrong. Especially if it would be based on DK content

I don't think the idea of a sandbox game works at all for what Dumb Koala does. She basically just makes short animated comics and then puts them into a simple Ren'Py format. She also doesn't seem interested in sticking to any one project for a long period of time. I'm pretty sure any work like that would just end up outsourced anyway.

I played and like that a lot, although one needs to be prepared to overcome some frustration here and there. Have you also played the second one? I got it during the alpha/ early access release and it didn't really clicked like the first one.
