It all started with DMD. I'd also add Light of my Life, I played it primarily because of the girl characters so different compared to the other games - I'd say closer the real world perhaps, the story is interesting too - maybe a little slow sometimes but still nice.

*This one got weird with the story like Inceton lost track of what was supposed to happen and got caught in a plot trap

Acting Lessons has the easiest on-boarding. mostly vanilla tags, and great story for newbies. But my personal 10/10s are Once in a Lifetime and The Pilgrimage, but they aren't everyone's cup of tea.

I would also recommend Parental Love, it has both harem and prengancy elements and aside from one (avoidable) futa, the game is fantastic.
Also helps that the models are attractive and the game is well-written (for porn fluff)

Dragon Quest (Warrior, when I was a kid) is a great series. Is it 40yrs old now?!
Bioware in the 2000s. (Jade Empire, KOTOR, Mass Effect)

Really don't like the new art style for Two Sides. Though the game has been remade so many times now and there was barely any content to begin with I'm just gonna give up on it. The sister was so hot in the old art style though so I was holding out hope
