Are there any AI games that are actually good? I've played a few so far and I couldn't rate any above 2/5. Maybe I just haven't played enough..

It feels disappointing knowing that there's such technology out there, but most AI games (in this section) that I have played have all been extremely short and lack story writing.

There's so much potential, but so few take the opportunity to make something that isn't a slideshow.

I would appreciate any recommendations, or even thoughts on the matter. Do you know if theres any upcoming projects of this genre (ai games)?

I kinda feel like Ai games, atleast obvious ones are missing spark. so im on the same page, cant really find a Ai game worth it.

Final Fantasy and Mass Effect are my favorite. Strictly speaking, game series. If I have to commit myself to individual parts, then FF8 and ME2

I can see it definitely being used to help writing stories, kind of like an outline to edit, that'd make the process much faster. But I still think using AI photos in games will look bad atleast with how they look rn

I'm not a dev (just a normie with no real knowledge besides clicking spacebar and choosing options in these games), but I'm guessing that there is way less workload in terms of getting pictures in? Again, I'm clueless, but I'd say creating images is simpler as it involves putting prompts and refining the output until it meets expectations. Generally, the AI images look impressive in terms of quality, and with the right prompts, the outcomes are quite satisfying. Only issue is that (from what I have seen) no one seems to care about the story part.

Idk, the image creating is much faster and refined but the thing is with AI photos right now is that they're very obviously AI generated. And from my perspective when I look at the photos and see 3 nipples or 8 fingers it can be kind of offputting. But that may change with time as AI generated photos are very new.

Mass Effect is probably my favorite RPG of all time. Best game trilogy hands down.

Story is chatGPT and images are stable diffusion... so yeah no "real" human input isnt really creating something awesome in this genre.
I assume a dev who actually have a good story in mind and is using the tools available to help get the story across might certainly would help alot.
Its like everybody notice bad CG in movies but there is so much more they don't see when its done correct
