I didn't mention it in the OP, but if you are into dark (real dark) games than Malignant deserves a mention also!

I dislike the dark path of Malignant, but either route has the most believable scenarios out of all the games i've played. The interactions and development between characters are more realistic. SSP has the best graphics and I'm a huge fan, but the story is a bit too fantastical.

Not sure if I'd put in as surper romantic, but it is emotional at times.

And certainly will give you a break from corruption and mindless sex, i.e it's a good story with some sexy times thrown in.

Play The Sims 4 with Wicked Whims and any scenario is possible

- sims is kinda crappy game thou... and WW is hard to setup with all those additional mods. Not to mention that whole censorship debacle when they tried to stomp lolis and incest. Things like that always weird me out when it comes to porn.

Acting Lessons!
Give it a try. It might not be the most romantic (as Naxos already mentioned) but it sure is emtional, well written, choices have influence and it is very well paced. Highly recommend that one
