It's not that. 99% of the dialogue isn't about sex. It's them telling each other how much they love each other 9999999999 times.

That's because there's no sense of novelty. It's one of these one-offs where once you've played through it then you don't get that much of a taste anymore.

I will fight tooth and nail for eternum but I also understand that setting and somewhat slow pace between "action" may not be for everyone (especially lack of certain landlady/tenant tag compared to his previous work).
I really, really like the setting, writing is more than decent and art is absolutely insane, one of the very best.

Don't forget that despite how good the game could be, not everybody is into HS (or Koikatsu), and the same can be true for DAZ as some people don't like it.

Grandma's House. I actually enjoyed the first few updates and some of the LIs, but each release adds a few more characters that exist solely to cater to a specific fetish. The writing also got extremely repetitive, especially the sex scenes, which have some of the most boring, clinical descriptions of sex scenes I've ever read in smut. It also falls into a ton of cliches common to harem games, such as the absolutely milquetoast MC who nevertheless instantly charms every single woman he meets because every other man in town is a rapist, gay, or only interested in ugly women. There's no conflict in the story or struggle the MC has to overcome. He somehow has an infinite amount of money despite only having a part-time job during college, his grandma is apparently a millionaire real-estate tycoon who owns every building in the city, and he just gets handed stuff like a classic car and a garage to start a mechanic's shop out of nowhere. I tried playing it a few months ago and it became more and more of a chore as the game went on until I finally gave up right after the second "season."

Yeah, and that's not good dialogue by any measure, even when put up against porn writing. Bad is still bad, regardless of context.

Also, you're forgetting the constant reminders of "I won't do anything you're not comfortable with" every other line.

I didn't even know it had a story. Also, the grandma isn't rich, she's just doing well enough. There wasn't any sign of her being rich, ever.

I mean it's been on some sort of pre-tech version since october 2022 with just under 30k patreons... even if they're all at the 1$ level that's some slow development for 30k/month.

Isn't the mind numbingly slow development of the game part of the game being "overrated" ?

She buys a mansion in like the second week of the game without selling the first house, then buys thousands of dollars of gym equipment the next day, she owns the apartment building that the Arab mom lives in, she has a sea-side apartment that she gives to the MC's ex the same day the ex arrives in town (and doesn't charge her rent iirc). If you think owning two giant houses and multiple apartment buildings is "just doing well enough" I want to live your life.

...What's the point of owning buildings if you don't lease the apartments ? But yeah I know what you mean. It's still just being well-off sadly, not "rich".
