Having recently started this game, I didn't get to experience the uncensored version. I am enjoying it, but it makes me wonder how much better it was before.

The current season 1 is the uncensored version as long as you have the taboo patch installed. The dev is probably going to remake the first season at some point. It's season 2 where the castration of the game really begins

Gonna dive back in I think, this game was great and honestly has a really strong dark path. Was very put off by the censorship rework, but it's a good enough game that it still has value I guess.

This tends to be the case with a lot of games that have corruption/dark path. If you don't go the dark route, you tend to miss out on a ton of scenes.

This is a game I found by accident but was completely blow away by how good it was. Glad to see the updates still coming and hopefully can become more popular because its damn good
Season 1 was great (for the most part) but I've yet to make up my mind on Season 2. The focus isn't where I'd like it to be. New characters instead of fleshing out existing ones is starting to lose me. I'll keep up with the next few updates and see.

Dark path being killed basically kills this game. All of the best routes being set up were on the dark path.

Censorship killed the game. There's really nothing that stands out with it anymore.

Yeah, I can understand why you'd feel that way. If the things that originally gave the game its identity are heavily censored or toned down, it can end up feeling like a completely different experience. Especially if those elements were a big part of what made it stand out from all the other games in the same space.
Sometimes it's not even that the underlying game suddenly became terrible, it's just that whatever made it distinctive got sanded down. And once that happens, it's hard not to look at it and think, “Okay... so what am I supposed to get excited about now?”
I guess the interesting question is whether they can actually replace that lost identity with something new, rather than simply removing things and leaving a more generic game behind.
