Windows default extractor has a problem with it. Use 7zip. It works fine. Honestly don't bother though. There is no content.

I had no problem with extraction using default extractor. Downloaded from Proton (252MB). (Downloaded from Pixeldrain link first and got an error when extracting. Filesize from Pixeldrain was 241MB)

Played Prologue and so far it seems a reasonable version of the original. Awaiting release of full Chapter One.

Exactly. As far as I'm concerned IP doesn't mean much in general on a pirate site, and less than 0 if it's been abandoned by the original creator, they also abandon any rights to it imo. It's like if someone was building a house they abandon mid-construction for whatever reason (often tax liens after they go bankrupt) and then everyone else complains to the squatters that move in and continue contruction on it about the lack of respect to the original builder that walked away = retarded.

Mmm hmmm... "entitlement" can mean a few different things, in this case it refers to someone who feels "entitled" to criticize someone who they have no business criticizing. He probably was rattled by the whole experience and it's not hard to see why, and in that state of mind people freak out and do impulsive things. Neither one of us went through it, and neither one of us has any business saying how someone who did go through it "should" behave. Yeah, it sucks losing a good dev, so does dealing with cops who think they can do anything they want, but that's the world we live in.

I didn't say I don't like this, I didn't play it because it's not even completed, some people really have trouble with comprehensive reading...

If the developer wanted to continue Our Island, then he should just do that.... pick up where it left off, we can still get the original game if we want to see all the beginning stuff again.

so just doing a copy of the original, and only a tiny bit of it.... well that seems bad to me.

It's cool, people. Terminator asked me about doing this before he started. I'm fine with it. We have even talked about the background of the island, why certain things happen, and the direction things were going. Of course, Terminator has already put a little spin of his own, even on this small piece, so he may very well be going his own way by the time he gets to where I stopped.

I'll state it here: If anyone wants to use my ideas to make a game, or try continuing my stories, go for it. It just gives me something new to play.

He probably had to remake the models himself if they are not in the Daz store and some 3D artists are better than others. Maybe he hasn't been at this long? It takes practice like most skills.

Even if that were not the case, in government lawsuits (in the US), punitive damages are almost universally prohibited.
