I personally hate being on a porn/hentai site that doesn't auto block scat. There is nothing worse thsn scrolling through porn and you see scat out of nowhere. I don't think it shoukd be a sign up and preference only, but it should just have it's own section.

I think that at least for the more "controversial" ones, like the ones you mentioned and a couple more, there should be something like a first time questionnaire or something similar that you have to fill (not necessarily kink by kink, but categorized) to filter out stuff from the beginning, then you can fine-tune it manually whenever you want.
This way one can avoid unfortunate top of first page turn-offs

Nearly all fetishes should have a block option. If any should have to be manually un-blocked (blocked by default, and one simply changes that if they want to see the content), Gore, Vomit, Rape, Scat are at the top of my list. Those are things that I think would fare well as opt-in content.

Not saying that they must or should be opt-in only, but I think that they're pretty reasonable as opt-in only.

i dont think any topic should be auto blocked for evryone has there own dirty mind in someway and i dont think if you have a hard fetish yourself that you should ever judge others for theres no matter how bad they are. but i would love the fact of a way to block any topic you personly dont wanna see og engage in but that will be your choice that way and evryone else can also make the choice of topic they want

I think there should be a personal blacklist like how E621 and Rule 34 has, but to put a website wide ban would be ridiculous considering the who point of this site in the first place.

i would agree with a toggle, not a fan of some things but to force people who do to not see the option? the toggle switch with options for all the tags would be nice. hide the ones you don't like keep all the ones you do. It is a win for everyone who doesn't have to work on the coding for it.

I like the Filter version on the Hentai Foundry site almost everything is deactivated on the first visit and you can choose your own preferences:
