The chili cheese burrito is the absolute best thing they ever had, but it's unavailable at most locations. They don't have it within like 3 states of me. Second best is the meximelt and they've at least brought that back recently on the decades menu. That went away, but the meximelts appear to have stuck around

Was a fan of the 5 layer burrito for a while but they either changed the recipe or they got lazy because it no longer taste the same.

The gordita crunch it righteous!! I've never actually gone to taco bell for the texture, but man this is the perfect blend of soft and crunchy, unparalleled in fast food!

I'm addicted to the nacho fries, even got the pass that was like $10 that let you get nacho fries every day for a month. The avocado ranch dipping sauce was SO GOOD with them. Sadly, the taco bell app doesn't work with older iphones anymore, so I don't see much point going there unless I'm already on errands, which is a terrible idea if you don't like the thought of suddenly needing to urgently use the toilet in any nasty public bathroom that's handy...

Honestly? No... It's only true saving grace is the pricing. If you want good Mexican food, got to a restaurant since even the most hole-in-the-wall joint will outdo Taco Bell. But if you're high on kush at 2am? Then Taco Bell is your munchie messiah.

Never tried those, but they're bringing the 90's menu back, so maybe one day they'll have a full menu. Most of the menu is the same ingredients but restructured differently, anyway, so they need more flavors.

They have a burrito that has red dyed corn chips in it, great texture, and I feel they would go great in that "Chilito" you mentioned. Like a Frito Pie, but in burrito form.
