So there are endless wars that can be fought over who the best girl in these games is, but let's take the road less traveled. Which game has the male MC you like the most? Do you like the college age antics of guys like Tremolo(BaDIK) and Orion(Eternum)? Or are the more "mature" your preference, the likes of Valentine(Unbroken), Aiden(Artemis), and Atlas(Seven Realms)? The point of this thread will be to discuss our favorite bros and dudes we assume direct control of and why they are such. Currently I'd say my favorite is Valentine. He's funny, looks out for his people, and can be humble. But he's also got that vulnerability to him that you can't get in the younger MCs. He's been through some stuff. I await each update eagerly not for the sex(though that's a close second) but for the character moments and interactions.

Favorite male protagonist? Thats like asking for the favorite cancer...and has the same answer: At best none, but if it has to be one, its the least annoying one that dont spreads.

Easy. The best protagonist is the one you can define yourself.
Recently I played Friends in Need and it's a good example of a point I want to make. From the very first decision you decide how much of a good guy/asshole the protagonist is going to be, decide some of his reactions and even better, you can separate this behavior on each LI basis (at least somewhat). Sure there is fixed background for the MC and you can't alter his behavior for every sentence but this is probably as close as it can get without the dev having to write a different story for each mindset.

The MC from Intertwined is the first that comes to mind. You have enough control to make sure he doesn't go freelancing in a stupid direction and yet it still feels like he has a personality.

Hard to pick a favorite male protagonist. I guess I can say I enjoy playing as Dreadwolf from New Antioch. Tough guy, but also a friendly nerd (or at least can be played that way).

I like the MC from BaDIK the most out of all the recent games I've tried, but the type I prefer are generally the ones that don't have too much of a backstory with a past that you uncover through playing. I get that there a lot of games where the MC has a past and part of the enjoyment is discovering it through the play through, but I've come across a few games where I just couldn't get into it, and it killed my enjoyment of the MC.

I don't remember the Eternum one ever bothering me, which is high praise. The Midlife Crisis one is also... surprisingly adorkable and wholesome? I don't think I ever found him annoying. At least it felt like he actually cared for the women, never was an outright asshole or a pushover, which is sadly rare. Same for Origin Story.
