Ever said 'hey I was playing this game where this crazy thing happened', then your friends/family ask, what game was that? I often play civ type games and city/factory builder, so when I talked about a funny situation in a game, friends asked in what game was that from. Oh, I don't remember, maybe a modded version of one of my games? I would die if someone I knew said that they saw that same thing in the game and laughed about it, and noted that it wasn't from the game I said.

Honestly I'm ashamed enough to discuss the contents of my average CK2 run, I'm definitely not talking about Lessons in Love or something with Real People.

I sometimes recognize a clip of music from a game being used elsewhere .. like a youtube vid. There was one time where I wondered aloud where I knew that music from. When I finally remembered I felt a little inside embarassment .. but didnt mention it any further.

I Don't think so, but i've definitely been in situations that made me think of various adult games. Like a "hey wait a min, if this was one of *those* games, it would be a very different situation lmao"

I have quoted lines or scenes from porn games before, in fact I've even openly suggested to some friends that they should check out certain games because of how good they are storywise etc, it helps that I don't feel shame or embarrassment, I am who I am and the people I hang around with have to accept that I won't change. I'll probably remain a degenerate perv.

The exceptions to this rule are not talking about these types of games in the workplace, with colleagues, or at social gatherings with people I don't know, as that's just a social faux pas. I know when and where the best place to mention my hobby is, and I do not hide it, aside from exceptions previously mentioned.
