Clearing up a common concern about donating to LewdCorner​

Hey everyone,

I want to clear something up because I have seen this concern come up before, and I am sure there are people who have thought about donating but stopped because of it.

A common worry is:

“I would donate, but I do not want LewdCorner showing up on my bank statement.”

That is completely understandable. Privacy matters, and nobody wants a forum/site name showing directly on their card or bank statement.

LewdCorner does not show up on your bank statement when you donate.​

Your bank/card statement does not say LewdCorner.

It shows under the payment processor / billing descriptor instead. In simple terms, your statement shows the processor-side billing name, not the LC site name.

What This Means

When you donate through the official donation system:

• Your statement does not display LewdCorner.
• Your statement does not advertise what site you supported.
• The charge appears under the payment processor / billing descriptor.
• Your donation can still be tracked correctly for donation rewards.
• Your donation still helps keep LC online and running.

This is one of the reasons the donation system is handled through a proper processor. I do not want people avoiding donations because they think the site name will be printed directly on their bank/card statement.

Donation Rankups / Credits

Donation rewards are handled through the official donation system.

If you donate through the supported donation method, your donation can be tracked and credited toward the correct rewards, rankups, or donation perks.

Donating can also bypass the normal Donator requirement where donation bypass is supported.

That means if a rank, reward, or upgrade normally requires Donator status first, a valid tracked donation can count as the donation route instead of forcing you to grind through the normal Donator requirement first.

Normal route: Meet the site requirements normally.​

Donation route: Donate through the official system and receive supported donation credit.​

Donation bypass: A valid tracked donation can bypass the normal Donator requirement where supported.​

Why Donations Matter

LewdCorner is not free to run.

Servers, storage, bandwidth, security work, backups, development, moderation tools, anti-bot protection, and general site improvements all cost money.

Donations help with:

• Keeping the site online.
• Paying server and storage costs.
• Keeping downloads/uploads stable.
• Funding future improvements.
• Supporting security and anti-abuse work.
• Helping LC stay usable without forcing everything behind a hard paywall.

The goal is to keep the site alive, stable, and improving.

This post is not meant to pressure anyone. If you can help support the site, it is appreciated. If you cannot, that is fine too.

Now that is an interesting approach, and definitely keeps anything off your statements. However, if you are asked to provide proof of your donation, you don't really have a record unless you screenshot it. Or, Jack Of Blades is able to get the site to do what he wants, which is to keep clear track of all donations. I have confidence that Jack Of Blades really wants to get this code to work, so he doesn't have to deal with that aspect anymore.

Actually for the most part I just need email/username now cause donation admin panel sees records excluding bank stuff cause that’s not saved here and never will nor have access to it

If you provide an email account (and I believe that's necessary for the forum to auto deposite your donation rewards), you should get a receipt for your donation.

its username and email, not just email email, cause then it wont be able to credit you.

It says Effective score is 3368/500 but i'm blocked by Reading and that I need 19 more; 19 more what. I went to discord but I am not authorized in any thread to post a question so I tried here. Any help would be appreceated.

What are you blocked from doing, if you don't mind me asking? Because you already have the rank access, so I would assume the Reading score shouldn't be preventing you from doing something.

I'm not sure. It just says that I have 4270/500 now, blocked by Reading. However my Reading is now 62/75. I just don't understand what Reading is. Maybe it's no big deal,IDK

Okay, I will venture to ask a question on the topic: I saw answers about privacy, along with a recommendation to use cash. But I did not find answers to the questions: The payment system itself can NOT find out in any way who exactly paid, and most importantly, to whom? And in order to hide from those who like to poke their noses into their NOT own business, is it possible to use alternative access services to the payment site in this way, To be sure that the payment will reach the right place? And will NOT be used against the donor himself? (P.S. Delete that too, if it cannot be asked.)
