i obliterated everyone's donation and platinum coins, clearly a bug that gave users them without even donating, need to figure out the issue.

And did you think maybe to take a backup or do an export of everyone's totals before you just wiped them out? I had both donation and platinum coins, all legitimately earned or purchased, but I can't remember (or prove) exactly how many I had. Mercifully I have a screenshot showing 50 donation coins from a few months back, and I think possibly I had 40 platinum but I don't have any screenshots of that.

What a fool I was to not take screengrabs every five seconds of everything I've ever earned on this site for fear that the owner would arbitrarily delete it all with zero warning. Why am I being punished because a) there's a fault in your system and b) other people are abusing it? If someone robs a bank, does the bank then take my money as a result?!

Be nice if the management of this site could go five minutes without doing something destructive, disruptive or controversial.

I have supported your decisions over the last three years, as it is your site, I am a guest, and appreciate the work you do.
However, this is starting to get annoying.
I donate about every 3 months, and when I do, I donate big.

If you did take a backup or export everybody's totals, then why did I have to go back though my credit cards to provide you with confirmation ID's of my donations?

And, if you did, then why did I only get 500 donation coins back, instead of the 600 I had? I know I had enough for the first donation rank (lifetime), I just didn't want to spend them yet.

And, if you did, why was I not returned any of the platinum coins I had? Again, I know I had plenty, as I had just converted a small sampling the other day to LC as a test.

I agree with the last poster, it is ridiculous that we are being punished for not taking screenshots after each visit before we log out.

But again, it's your site, do what you will. Hopefully folks don't get so turned off that they leave or stop donating, as the benefits of donating get taken away from the donator.
