5. A way to customize your profile.
6. Access to giveaways

Lots of different ways to go about it that would make people feel better about the situation.

Only if you actually reply to the post. Just liking them gains you nothing but gives the recipient 3 points. However this also gains help for you through their likes of your posts and replies.
