Do you play as yourself or roleplay in your games?

  • I play very closely to my actual self

  • I play as a very different character than my actual self

  • I do a little of both depending on how I feel

  • I'm a crazy person that uses the default name

I always choose the same name but it has nothing to do with my real name. And no, I don't roleplay as myself, but I play according to my kinks (mostly domination and corruption). Definitely not how I act in real life

I mostly act as a "viewer" in all games I play, be it SFW or NSFW. Like someone watching someone's story unravel before my eyes, like I'd do when watching a movie or anime.

I don't see the point of an RPG if you play as yourself. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I normally play a version of myself just with cosmetic changes. I'm just bad at role playing especially when there's a logically correct choice

I always role-play as what is hot in the moment, not who I am.

I also have started just using the default name. Some games mess up sometimes and end up mistakenly using the default name, and sometimes I want to use a guide for the game, and it confuses the hell out of me if I changed the names.

I have not yet had the opportunity to participate in a role-playing game as such but I assume that I would behave depending on my mood

I play as "me"; however, depending on the game, I'll play a run through as who I "would be" and then another as the opposite of my normal mo.

I use the default/"canon" name if available or make something up otherwise, and though I make choices I agree with or for the content I want to see in choice based games, I don't really self-insert at all.

Never play as myself. I will use the default name if available and role-play a character based on the mood or what the game tells in its intro.

i do both but i always use default names when available. I will note i have many kinks that i wold not do IRL.

For the main character. For example, how can I play for FMC as a man? But I make the same choices in visual novels that I would make in real life. Even if I lose some of the content.
