LewdCorner Update
For now, mime and apollo have full control over LC and will be handling site decisions going forward.
I’m stepping back from making site changes for now and letting them decide how to move LC forward.

I've read comments saying that people generally don't like AI games, even if it's only for the visuals, since there's also a possibility that the narrative is involved. Would you give games like this a chance (by paying for them) even if there’s a commitment to render everything?
When I read "AI-made games" I usually think of games that where nearly fully made by an AI.

You give the AI a prompt and it writes your game, no NSFW tho.
I am not fully sure if you are only talking about porn games or games in general, so everything below is just for adult games, for non-porn games it's way stricter.
Many devs already use AI for their games, not necessarily for the art, but, as you mentioned for the text, even if it is only to "correct" individual sentences or entire paragraphs. It's simply not that easy to spot than lets say AI images.

If you look at how "good of a writer" most devs are, it is not much of a difference anyway if AI is used to write or not, usually it even improves it. To clarify regarding "most devs" or "most games": don’t forget that most games were pretty bad even before AI came along, AI had nothing to do with it. People usually only remember the few good and many passable games and only care about those, forgetting the vast number of bad games usually dying shortly after their first release. And (bad) AI images are easier to distinguish than yet another cookie-cutter DAZ/Illusion girl.
The thing is, the majority don't care whether the images are AI-generated or not. As long as it doesn't look too bad, they'll still fap to them. AI games would not be so popular if that wouldn't be the case. Compare it to pop-music, so many hate and dump on it, but it's still the most popular music genre. It's just that those against it are easier to see than those that are for it or don't care, because they simply won't say anything. Similar to basically everything else.
To the question itself.
Like my previous statement, I don't care as long as it doesn't look too bad and it doesn't look like something I could do better with an AI generator.
Would I pay money for it? Fuck no.
About the commitment to replace the AI with proper images afterwards. Yeah... the thing is, that even many indie devs of normal games do promise stuff like that, not only with AI but with all the "unreal store assets", and they usually never replace them.
I didn't even have a thought that there were games out there with AI writing.
I don't know, I don't like that.
Hard to explain why but that seems worse than AI art too me.
Some times, it's not obvious until I get further in but... It's not something I seek out intentionally. Looking forward to the bubble bursting.... hope the world economy survives.
I've recently found myself growing less opposed to checking out a game with AI images. Especially if they're being upfront about using AI in that capacity, regardless of whether or not they intend to replace the images in the future. But AI writing is a no-go for me.
The involvement of AI in a game's development would have no impact on whether or not I participate in it. The price of admission is a decision made based on the impression I get of a game's quality and subject matter from any promotional material available. I often skip past what I think is AI-driven promotional writeups (like those lists that have semirandom emojis near the headers) because I just figure the quality of the game is going to be not great, but that's purely presumptive. If I thought a game looked interesting, I wouldn't skip it on principle because of AI involvement.
i think it is at a point where it may substitute art in games in very minor ways, back ground assets and such...... but for characters and writing, it can struggle. images..... like many ai images they tend to get a very similar look, i happen to like the style, but not enough to play many games with the same style over and over. i think AI does much better at realism and is easier to stay consistent in such a respect, it gets very difficult using AI to have a consistent style, with consistent characters that doesn't look perceptively alike to many other ai images when you are trying to make a stylized art theme for your game. writing is also such that it is a matter of taste....... it is better than many of those awful visual novels we have all come across, but very similar to the images, it likes to write in the same ways, but we must remember it has been trained on our own writing...... many fan fictions from what i see..... so we have only our selves to blame
another point to consider: the barrier to entry to such things is now lower than ever, it does not take much effort to generate these images, or some text with ai machines and models. this can be a good thing i am thinking on one hand because ofcourse we now get to see many more peoples visions for stories and the like......... but on another hand it means those that would have given up on account of the effort it takes to do such a thing ai-free are not so filtered out....... that means there would be less passion in many of these works we see now which can trend alongside a drop in quality. this part particularly.... in my opinion.... is much worse with the writing..... the image of the game and its art is very important but i think a very good story with passion can make up for such...... after all there are many stories, even games that do not have images at all. if someone were to give up writing a story without ai i am not sure how i feel about such things and if they would be very good........ unless ofcourse the ais get to such a point that they do a better job than any of us can.... then i will happily play!
I played some that have interesting content or concepts but whenever I see an AI game that I don't recognize I ignore them because there's a 70% chance that's it's NTR.
I think the main issue right now is that the use of AI is still very noticeable. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the current “AI look” visually it’s quite obvious. That said, I do think that as the technology keeps improving, it’ll eventually become imperceptible, and we’ll probably be consuming AI content without even realizing it.
If we are talking about non porn games with an actual budget and they are STILL using generative ai then hell nah. But porn games with good looking ai drawings then yeah why not?
