Depends on the game.
An engine is just the mechanism of delivery.

As a rule, I tend to 'not play' RPGM games, but that is because the vast majority of them are Censored, NTR, Poorly translated Japanese games.

There are some good ones, but they are the exception not the standard rule.

I recently decided to not play any rpgm games so I guess I hate rpgm games.

I have played many good rpgms games so no. its only bad when you make a bad game in it, other wise I usually like the non standard sprite graphics and nice looking environments you can do in it.

As with all engines: there are good and bad games.

I hate it because it's difficult, slow and boring

Yes! It's completely awful. I hate having to navigate and they all have walking around a map - and the map has graphics bad by late 1980s standards. Adult games really aren't good for RPG style anyway, and RPGmaker is frankly a bad engine even for RPG games. I filter it out. If it uses that, I don't download it.

Very few games have done something interesting with the engine, but yeah, it's terrible for porn games

I have tried a few but get bored quite quickly. Is there a really must play game with this engine?
Hate might be a strong word but many seems kind of badly done

A couple of my favorite porn games have actually been RPG Maker games, like Zombie's Retreat or Impregnation, Child Making Farm. It honestly just takes someone doing the effort of making the game more than a generic RPG experience.

They aren't so bad if they have mouse controls, but if I gotta remember a bunch of keyboard shortcuts, or worse, use a controller, I'm not interested.

TBH my experience makes me wish it was never invented. Even outside adult games, it makes it to easy for someone without a clue to make a shitty game and put it on Steam.

I like them, but they can be grating to go through at times.

Don't really hate them, but mostly avoid them. A lot of them end up being pretty grindy, and that is not something I enjoy.
