Do you guys prefer more cartoony/anime style games or more realistic looking games?

Yeah that's when it becomes unappealing to me. If the characters are really expressive and entertaining, then I could play a game with more realistic looking characters
i definately agree when they become lifeless it kind of kills the game but just a little expression can do much for a game but i feel like other ways of making the CG has the same problem but as the creator gets more used to it i think they tend to add more life to what they are making with it

I like anime style far more than realistic but at the same time i feel like there are not that many options because i dont play censored games at all.

I think more anime style. For render engines I typically prefer Koikatsu >= HS >> DAZ. There are some really good DAZ renders out there if the devs spend a long time on them, but most of the time they are subpar.

Hard to say. I enjoyed both very much. I would say I don't have a preference as long as it's really well done, but there's also the fact that some fetishes simply don't translate well to a realistic style. If I had to choose I would go with anime/cartoon if only for being the safe option.

Definitely Cartoony most of the time but not anime style. Realistic is great but the downside is that the animations tend to be plain

I like everything but i benefit a little the cartoon because the 3D models repeat themselves a little

It depends entirely on the models. ive seen some cartoony ones that are hotter than a ton of more realistic ones, as well as some truly stunning realistic ones. On the flip side both also have really horrific designs as well as some creators tendencies to go for the hyper proportions

It would have to depend on the tone and the narrative of what the games trying to present.

I can get into stylized 2D art. It doesnt have to be realistic or anime-inspired, but it can get too cartoony for my liking. Anything too similar to that Cartoon Network-like, very angular style, that just doesn't do it for me.

For me both are good, don't really have a preference. Really just depends on things like render quality and art quality respectively .

I prefer the cartoon/anime style, but I think more than anything because on the one hand this style is very unique, you can see many different drawing styles while the realistic one... well honestly as long as they don't make other races or aliens it is quite similar between Yes, except for the quality, you also have to keep in mind that many realistic games look ugly if they are not done well while the other style has more margin.

2dcg is underrated

I think both are fine, with slight preference to realistic models

Realistic if done well, but the bar for done well is higher

I prefer more realistic looking games, unless it's good hand drawn art like My Pig Princess, Driven Affairs, and Hard Times at Sequoia State Park. Honey Select and Honey Select 2 I can handle if done well, like Mythic Manor, but that's it. The overly-looking anime stuff just doesn't attract me at all.

I generally prefer realistic. I dislike most anime. I really dislike Koikatsu.
