Do you genuinely like mini games/combat in games?

I am surprised how many people don't care for mini games

It doesn't help that they are often poorly implemented. But even when the implementation is fine, things like that break the pacing of the game and ruin it, at least for me.

Hate them, hate them, hate them. If I wanted to do that, I would go play something else. I want a quality story and that’s it. Choices are ok, but I delete games with that crap. I don’t care how good the game is.

I don't really like them. I am however fine with them being optional as long as they don't punish the player by hiding some content behind it.

That's fine if it's fun, but I've never seen a fun mini-game in a porn game.

Sometimes, if done correctly. Just making me pick "block kick, punch or duck" without any indication ever of what should be correct, only for me to fail and just rollback... pointless.

When minigames or combat are good, they're very good. When they're bad they're game-ruining.

For me the benchmark for "good" is that the minigame is 1. Fun enough I'd play it even if it were separate from the game and 2. Not blocking access to the story or lewd content.

Someone mentioned Love of Magic above; that and the dev's other game, Morningstar, are good examples. The combat minigames (first Poker, then Match 3) are good enough that I sometimes boot up the game just to kill some time with them, but when it comes to actual story-related fights you're given the option to skip the game.

NO. Always try to skip it and when there is no skip button I get pissed. No problem putting the minigames but please make it optional at least.

I absolutely hate it -- the only time I like it in a game is if I can skip it without penalty In particular I hate games where I have to type letters as they appear -- those go straight in the dump folder f

I'd say it depends on my mood. I don't miss them when they are not there but I don't hate them when they are either.

The only thing I really can't stand is having to read like two pages of instructions first. If that's the case, I either delete the game straight away or in some cases, try to read the text until I'm halfway through and get bored, but try the minigame anyways and probably get rekt. Then the game definitly died.

If they are, then Minigames should be implemented in a way they are easy to understand, with a little bit of a challenge but not too hard.

I like them if the context feels right, but mandatory puzzles depending on if I suck at them or not can kill the mood

If the combat/mini-game is an integrated part of the game, well implemented, don't translate to hours of grinding, loss leads to lewd (not just game over), the combat/mini-game is either easy, skippable or with configurable difficulty, and the game can be played with one hand, I don't mind so much.
For games that are visual novels or text adventures, I absolutely despise being interrupted by meaningless combat or mini-games.

I like the ones that match with what your character is trying to do. Sneak around == dodge sight lines
The ones with no rhyme or reason to them can go die in a hole

What kind of "combat" are we talking about?

RPGM turn base "combat"? I HATE that thing. Specially in games that are grindy and depend on the combat for the grind. And more specially in those games that SOMEHOW also remove the cahnge combat speed setting for some UNEXPLICABLE reason. If you want/need to put it on your RPGM game, then make them skipable, with some penalty (less xp, less items, chance of defeat base on some stat/stats)
This can actually be fun if the game is a funny one, or if there are animation/interactions that can be perform during the combat, but mostly they stick to the static fight of sprites that dont do nothing, just 3 sprites of "animation"

Action real time combat... in this case, some games have nice combat and nice mechanics that even make the game fun

minigames can be fun. puzzles and other things? yeah, they can be fun to play

I don't mind little mini games like find the panties or a lewd gallery pic. But I am not a fan of combat or fighting. That's what the other games are for.

sure do, especially if it has some form of strategy or skill to it and not just like a clicker or something. games like slay the spire style card games are great pluses to a adult game

I don't mind mini-games in adult games, but if they are puzzles, then I'm pretty screwed. I'm completely fine with combat in the games, though because at least I can avoid using my brain too much.

Well in Summer time saga its fine. But some games are just grindy and annoying.
