It is a developer's mistake. They haven't included the scene. You meet the requirements, but since there is nothing to show, the game displays that message.

I think it's perfect as it is.
Look at it this way. Introducing some fucked up side character after third chapter is... certainly not that great since they have to be set up. After the setting up, you can't just throw them into hardcore sex straight away.
But even then, who's it going to be... right?

Where Dire Desires has many side characters that -assist- the MC. Kayla to a degree is a sidekick and a victim. As she is sort of helping with Sherry.
Anya is the sadistic, fucked up bisexual character. She will in future likely help out both with her sister and MC's relatives and obediently do as told.
Then you have Laney who is in process of being "made" into a sidekick of sorts. Except corrupting her is going to take time. Then it's going to be hot as fuck.

And we all know that MC's mother is likely going to appear.

Who its going to be is anyone, it doesn't have to be anyone specific.

Anyway, that was just my opinion and my wishlist, not objective feedback. I personally enjoy sidekicks similar to the ones I listed, but I don't know if its the best for the game, it's just my wishlist.

Well, you know how the Seath games go, no?
First few chapters are focused usually around light touching, blowjobs, sleep sex and MAYBE some anal. Everything taken a bit more slow.
Then as the game progresses more hardcore scenes, more vaginal etc appear.

As for the other point - absolutely. The darker part of the game is more developed for sure. For example the Laney Drug vs Nondrug path. Drug path has... 2 scenes? Nondrug one has none pretty much.
Given the fact that the fucked up dark path is the canon one, makes sense its focused first. More so when DD is a darker game by its core.

For a VN like Dire Desires the ctrl button does not exist for me. For those who find anal sex boring in this story/ in general, I am very confused about that... because there is really nothing as splendid in this world as a gaping asshole.
