Dunno how it its in amiland or elsewhere, but here every supermarket and disconter stocks lebkuchen, glühwein and other typical christmas stuff long before winter. Its also pretty common to see christmas decorations, epecially holiday lights in the windows of private people since september.
How is it in your area and how do you handle christmas deco yourself?

Yeah, it's similar here. We complain if someone puts them up before Halloween, but some try to get away with it before Thanksgiving is over...

It's a mix. Most people don't have their decorations up yet.

I usually decorate early December and go all out, but this year we aren't having and family visit (thanks MAGA), so I might just go light with it this year.

In Germany we don't have any themed holiday that keeps stores from putting christmas stuff as early as september.

Perso, i dont decorate, because i live alone for mainly reason. But in France ( in Alsace for me) a lot of houses are decorated early december and even end november.

How true, my standard penny switches from iced coffee to glühwein when fall starts and vice versa when spring starts...sadly they go by the calendar instead by common sense, so we can still have 25°C outside and cant buy iced coffee anymore, but glühwein....on the other side we can buy iced coffee while its still freezing outside ^^

I haven't decorated for Christmas in a long time. Lost all our decorations after a move over a decade ago and shit is just too expensive to justify rebuying it all. If I had them, I'd probably still not decorate, but I'd have no problem with decorations being put up in my house.

Decorations go up in November, but I normally decorate around week 2 of December just for convenience. And it comes down around the second week of January

I never was a fan of christmas.
During childhood it meant even more lunatic holy path rambling from our mother and eben more forced church visits. Our father specialised in getting drunk to tune her out and our uncle prefered getting high and overdosed every year...
As soon as we fled we never had the slightest interest in christmas and obviously never wasted money for deco.
And since we run the shelter, christmas only means many new girls, lots of first aid, many emergencies, some successful suicide attempts and a shitton of other extra work while most of the staff is on vacation or calls sick and most paperwork cant even be finished because every fucking department is closed.
Why decorate expensive green if we get free red?

My GF loves to do it but if left to me I wouldn't even bother since we never spend the holidays at our home and always travel to family over the christmas period.

Also we simply HAVE to buy new shit every year instead of reusing last years deco

I never have, but I'm considering buying some lights to hang up outside this year for the first time
To those that do, should I start simple with safe 1-color or the ones in rgb?
