discussion Corruption or Romance?

I'm not even super vanilla but I still prefer romance over corruption. I agree with some people that a some corruption is fine. If it full corruption I prefer both people becoming corrupt but more so just obsessed with each other(still vanilla-ish)

I almost always choose corruption. Romance doesn’t feel realistic in some taboo situations so might as well go full corruption

Like many tags, it depends on the story or the NPC. If they are a bitch or way too virginal in attitude, corruption appeals to me. Otherwise, I tend to lean Romance. I would also say it depends on the MC's method of corruption, as I do love Mind Control stories.

I'm playing Twisted Memories where you can choose Corruption or Seduction at each prompt for each of the LI's. I'm quite enjoying it, even though it has extremely large breasts, which I despise. The characters are so visually expressive and the writing is good and interesting (despite the spelling mistakes).

Sometimes the romance just be too vanilla and with corruption, you could see how far the creator would be willing to go

99% of the time, I'm gunning for that sweet, sweet romance.
The other one percent is for when I'm in a particular mood, or when the romance option is... less than stellar or might as well not exist.

So story-wise I much prefer romance, but kink-wise I love corruption. Honestly I don't like that its usually a choice between, like I get it, romance is the pure love and corruption often gets represented as non-loving, but it reminds me too often of the fake "moral" paths in many big games and would often present a better story with a fusion of the 2, love and lust are closely combined. Beyond that I do sometimes hate how romance is like kink-free, and thats just boring

Definitely depends on the execution. I've played games where I've preferred one route, and games where I preferred the other.

All things being equal, though, probably romance.
