Depends on the situation and if the females are bitches or not

I always choose Romance route
Corruption is mainly for completion

Like some other people said, depends on the character. Wholesome = romance, Brat = corruption

Not that big on corruption in games in general, so romance all the way. Even for bitchy characters. I can fix her!

I incline mostly towards romance but sometimes corruption is needed.

I like games where each LI has their own flavor.

I prefer Romance. Every Corruption game makes the girl change in a way. I want to feel the romance.

Romance. Corruption way implies that you will (most often) have to play as some kind of bastard, and I really don't want to do that. This is like the NTR issue. Someone is delighted, someone (like me) is indifferent to this topic, someone hate it. Everyone has their own niches in which they feel comfortable.

Romance. I'm too lazy rn to explain why, just... Romance.

Depend on the game. There are good ones in both categories and none of this two in my list of avoidable ones.

I am team romance all the way, I can work with corruption if it's part of a mechanic system where u need it to romance them but otherwise I'm choosing romance always
if the corruption means make them whores for other people, then no. If it's only for me, then, why not?
I'm more into romance tho

prefer romance over corruption, but also depend of the game for example games like "research into corruption", "sweet affection" or "corruption" where the objective is to corrupt the targets but there a level of the corruption were you spit or make other targets spit on the face of a certain corrupted character, or the corruption is out of hand and the target became everybody fucktoy no matter if you like it or not, and also depend if the target type and personality, there are characters thats are the bad ones but have a charm that make you like them and not only break them but there are other that you only want to break and toss aside, and it a shame because the design are good

Team Romance all day, every day. Corruption can be fun in a twisted way if it’s built into the gameplay loop or story progression (like "you must give in to darkness to win their heart" kind of thing), but honestly? If I’m given the option to flirt, date, or emotionally bond instead of going full villain mode

All life is about power.
Corrupting others into being my devoted sex slave's is part of that lust for power.

Romance is just power pretending to be nice about it.
Wanting to make her happy(I want her to like me so she makes me happy)
Wanting her exclusively for yourself(Not wanting others to touch your property)
Want her loyal to you(Devoted sex slave)

The difference between romance and corrupting is that one is honest about wanting to control you and the other is trying to pretend you arent human.
Like religion, morals, family value's, etc.

At the core of all things in life is a lust for power.
Those's who have it.
And those who want it.

Just like the difference between bdsm and rape is consent.
So to is the difference between manipulation and conversion based purly on what you percieve it as.
The action is the same.
Pain or trying to convince someone of your point of view.
But its easier to harm people when you convinced yourself its for their own good.
Its easier to justify saying you give them a place to live, cloth them, feed them, at least they could do is let you fuck them.
And behold you got a justification for rape.

Humans are extreemly easy to manipulate.
And those who remain in power know how to manipulate, control and convert people into doing what they want.

So next time you are being romantic.
Be honest with yourself.
You want something from them and will act how you must to get it.
You are the corrupter.

Tough choice, but I’d probably go with corruption — not just for the obvious reasons, but because I enjoy watching a character slowly change over time, especially if it’s influenced by the player’s choices. That progression can be really satisfying if done right.

That said, a well-written romance can hit just as hard, especially if the story takes its time building a connection that actually feels earned.

Best case? A game that lets you start with romance... and maybe corrupt them later 😏

What about you guys — do you prefer a slow burn love story or a descent into moral chaos?

its gotta be both. Romance in most cases has a little corruption involved
