It continues to amaze me how this is considered reprehensible, but it's fine to write a story about a guy who cuts people up with a chain saw, etc., etc.

I see it's yet another illogical and pointless moral panic which back in the 1990's already included video game violence and drugs before they got bored and moved on to lolis and anti-ped0s (equally little to no connection between the two) since that was the more popular political bandwagon to jump on even though laws already existed to specifically cover that since 1986 (thanks Tracy Lords). Before that it was worshiping Satan or anything with homos in them (can't have those making your kid gay or compelling them to sacrifice animals and having them go to hell after). Maybe in another decade or 2 they will get bored again and move on to something else, what that is being anybody's guess.

It makes no sense. What would the authorities prefer - that people play loli games or go after real lolis?
