I see on the shop that I can't purchase members+ until I have a certain number of posts. What counts as a post? Replies? Threads? I wish there was a little more clarity in that regard.

My guess it's just activity. I just lost my old account because Yahoo nuked my email for no damn reason and the new point system makes no sense to me.

Do you know if (or more generally hoping for a mod/admin reply, sorry if one or more of the images under your username means you are one but I'm still such a noob) maybe there's a delay between that action and coins being updated (I dunno, maybe for mod review)? Because I just uploaded an avatar (if it matters, relevant to my username, it's a reference to a TV show) and my LC did not increase.

Disclaimer, if I saw an answer to this already when I first joined, I probably forgot during my month or so of inactivity

And i see you trying too with 10 messages and 10hrs activity brother. I wrote up a bunch of reviews for my favorite games but sadly we don't get shit for reviewing games. I guess we gotta start farming engagement by ragebaiting as many people as we can or something

can confirm the 8 coins for uploading an avatar, if you're unsure on how to upload, just click on the profile icon next to the notifications and then click on the icon for your site image, then browse to upload from your file system.

I'm trying to figure out how the coin system works, and noticing some... oddities?
My first post was in a game thread, and I had 1 coin after doing that. But I'm not seeing in my transaction list where that coin came from? I'm assuming game threads aren't considered part of "public" and the coin was for something else. I know it's not a reaction, since that post hasn't gotten a reaction. So what gave me that coin?
Then today, second post, +2 coins showing up in the transaction list as posting on the public forum, and the balance is listed as 3. Makes sense, except that now my balance is 4. Again, where'd another extra coin come from?

Basically, I'm confused as to what's considered "public", since I'd have thought that game threads would be counted as part of the public area. And I'm also curious as to where those extra 2 coins came from. They aren't from reactions, since neither of my posts have any reactions yet. And my transaction log doesn't list any transaction adding those coins. Is there a hidden method of earning coins or something?

Edit: and now I'm at 7 with this third post. +2 from public area, and a mysterious extra +1 not showing up in the transactions afterwards. Is making any post, regardless of area, a hidden +1 coin or something?

I'm wondering that myself now, uploaded an avatar yesterday, still haven't gotten the +8 coins.
