I’m personally team dog. Dogs are loyal, unlike cats, who act like landlords collecting emotional rent.

If you die, dogs will probably refuse to eat you. Cats? They’d start considering you a snack within a day.

Dogs will eat you if they are hungry enough, no one refuses they urge to eat when they are starving, although they can be loyal and wait about 2 to 3 days

For me, definitely cats. The biggest reason is that I cant bring myself to constantly walk another being like dogs need.

i've had 2 dogs and i guess i got lucky with them. both of them were really well behaved, they knew when they weren't wanted or if someone wasn't a dog person they'd actively stay away from them. Both incredibly clean, never did their business inside or ruined any furniture. My second dog is an angel and whenever she leaves the groomer she always has a new gift from them as they always say they've never met an animal so well behaved.

I like both, but I probably pick cats more than I do dogs. Im a pretty laidback person and most if not all the cats I have owned are the same way. Most of the dogs ive owned or interacted with were way too hyper for me.

Have both and i think dogs in general care more about their owners and show much more loyalty also way cuter Still love cats tho.

Dogs are a healthier choice for me overall, because the higher social demands better facilitate a healthy lifestyle.

Although a cat is fine too.

Dogs definitely. You can go out of the house and come back inside and the dog will greet you so happily, where as a cat will just look at you
with the face that says, "Where is my food and why haven't I gotten it yet, Asshole?"

Cats, small and indifferent, are adorable. Don't expect loyalty from them, but damn, they're too cute to hate.

Anyway, a dog is definitely the best option if you expect loyalty, someone who will be happy for you and care about you in their own way.

That's why I adore them both.

Tough question for me, I can't decide
Cats = Super cute but assholes
Dogs = Loyal and more interactions but not as cute as cats (huge minus that they can't age long so it hurts a lot to lose a companion, cats also heartbreaking but not as tough imo)

I would give both A-Tier

S-Tier for me are definetly Parrots, they are smart, life-long companions (they can get over 50 years easy!) and if you teach them well they can literally speak with you, you can go with them anywhere and cosplay as pirate 24/7
