I’m personally team dog. Dogs are loyal, unlike cats, who act like landlords collecting emotional rent.

If you die, dogs will probably refuse to eat you. Cats? They’d start considering you a snack within a day.

Pfft, another dog apologist. Cats are better. They’re clean, they can be potty trained, and they shit in a box. Meanwhile, dogs are dirty and lick their balls then lick your face. I also saw a dog eat its own shit once.

And that ‘if you die’ scenario? How often does that even happen? If it’s that unlikely, it’s not exactly a strong argument.

Team dog all the way. Dogs form partnerships (pack mentality) and can be useful; anything from guard duty to actual work. Good luck getting into my house without waking my beagle up and alerting the whole neighborhood. My sister's cat? He couldn't care less...

Cats. A dog will love you regardless, which is endearing, but earning a cat's love feels so much more rewarding. Also, dogs are too high maintenance. They demand attention and bigger dogs need to be trained so they don't become a danger. For cats you only need to give them food and a place to shit, it's even less of a requirement if you live in the country

Neither. As a Southerner I can only choose an Opossum. Maybe a raccoon.

I like them both. No need for me to argue for the one or the other.
Both are useful and beneficial.

A cat, a dog, an @imYuna!, that would be a dream. 😊

I’m allergic to both. But I’ll pick cats 100% they’re cute, quiet, not too clingy and did I mention quiet? I’ll just evolve. Adapt. Develop gills and live in my nonexistent pool… anythings better than listening to the daily who can bark the loudest in the neighborhood competition with one of the contenders living in my house. I always liked mermaids so I’ll live my fantasy cat can have the house

I'm team cat. I grew up with dogs and I like them too, but cats are easier (yes, there are exceptions): They go to their toilet on their own and don't need a walk in a rainy, cold and windy sunday morning. They come to you when they want to play or cuddle, and leave you alone when they have enough. They are mostly nice, clean roommates. Except the hair.... cats are one of the creatures who can create mass from nothing

Both as I have no problem with owning either of them.

Cats are easier to take care of though.
