This'll be a hot take but oh well.

Yet another game dev in it solely for the money. As soon as the avenues for profit dry up, they drop the game for something else. Devs like this are all too common nowadays. Make a risky game for money, base your entire financial situation around the game, and drop it as soon as you inevitably get shut down leaving players who actually gave a shit and supported you high and dry. Way too many devs think "Oh I'll make an AVN, that's easy money right?" and then drop it as soon as it no longer makes them the money they want after the initial hype wears off.

Game was decent visually, but the story never was what it promised to be.

The thing that a lot of people seem to not understand is that these games take a lot of time to make. If you aren't making enough to work on it full time you essencially have to sacrifice all your free time to develop it while trying to keep your real job and your IRL relationships (friends, family, etc).

Comments like this make me question if the people on this forum are really adults or if they are just terminally online idiots that have completely lost touch with reality.

I am working on a game myself actually. I know what goes into it. I've found a balance between free time and development time. Its entirely possible if money isn't your primary motivator.

Ok... so because you don't mind working for free, every other dev has to do the same? I get that no one likes to see games being abandoned. But the idea that the dev has too keep working on it after losing all monitization is just ridiculous. I think that is just some terminally online BS.
Let's see if in a couple of years you're still able to maintain that balance.

Meh, IMHO it was pretty obvious tha dev simply got cold when it comes to this project to begin with, hence the speed of progress, breaks, etc.
Its pretty obvious that most of bans could have been cured with "unnoficial patches" and the like(like most other games remain on platforms when they wish for it), the dude simply wanted out, and subscribestar swinging banhammer simply gave him the reason to let his supporters hanging.

I'm not saying purely for free. I have no issue with devs who accept donations, subscriptions, etc, but to base your financial situation on a game that could at any point lose all means of monetization is just stupid. And based on the dev's post, they did exactly that. Devs who make these kinds of games should know the risk of making them (or at least I'd hope they do). What too many devs lack nowadays (and the same can be said for AAA games honestly) is passion. And yes, passion doesn't pay the bills, etc, but if you're going to make these kinds of games where there is a large group of people who morally object to the content you're creating and will do what they can to shut you down, you have to look past the financial motivation because you're only going to end up hurting yourself if things go wrong.

As far as my own game, I have no timeline for it, it's purely a passion project. It gets worked on when I feel like it. That is the balance I maintain. Friends and family come first, other responsibilities second, game third. Currently close (or might be above I don't remember) to 1,400 renders for it so far and good chunk of the initial "chapter" of the story written. Have I been working on it for a while now? Sure, but like I said, I don't have a timeline.

Maybe I'm just pissed about this specific game because I had supported the dev for a project I'll never see finished. Kinda feel lied to as the game was mostly gay content which isn't why I supported originally.

Have to? No, but it absolutely shows who are in it just to try making a quick buck.

5 years ago this shit just didnt happen for indie games, they were passion projects and SO many fucking amazing games came out of it. Now theres just a shit ton of "devs" trying to make a quick buck off people on patreon or similar systems.

Its hard to get invested at all in these games because they are just more likely to never be finished than actually see completion now, and all these shitty devs who just jump ship ruin it for the devs who are actually passionate about their game. I have zero desire to give money to devs now until a finished product is released because of how many games just dont make it.

Really sad to see this game put on abandoned, really enjoyed it when it first came out, didn't play the last 2 or 3 updates but the Kratos looking bald bearded MC was a bit fresh, all MC's we play are school guys or handsome looking guys. But well we can't get all we want in life. Hope this comes back in future. We have seen games been on hold for years and make comebacks. Lets hope for the best.

Is it because of the money or has the developer lost interest in the game !!! What is happening in this shitty world ?

The dev was kicked off the funding sites he had and can't get another to allow his game due to the content. He has a new game called My Husband Doesn't Know, which is available as a free preview from his Discord. The Dev has a new Patreon for the new game, and all references to this game are deleted from Discord (at least publicly).

I suspect that all loli games and their devs are gradually being sorted out and deleted !! Sorry

Good riddance that last scene where MC get dominated by whip girl irritated me
I agree, I was never that into the game anyway. The only character I thought was pretty hot was Riley, and I am not even gay. But the game was all over the place story wise. I don't think the dev had a real plan for the game, was just trying to please a few people to get some money. But that is just my guess.

I will not miss this game.
peace.

My favorite game a brutal loss… at least we claimed Alice just in time but was looking forward to her new submissive normal
i liked it too. dev isn't wrong, i supported him and saw it get closed on 2 different sites, one of em refunded me even.

really wish he'd just set up the controversial stuff in a "dark mind" patch or something sufficiently separate. probably would've helped avoid
most of this. :censored:
