Look, I'm not gonna defend them on the rest of it, but... yes, despite the name, visual novel is essentially choose your own adventure. It's why the Kinetic Novel tag exists (on-rails, no choices). Arguments about the tags tend to happen when there's technically choices but they don't matter.

@elfieeven hrmm is correct and so are you. Just that here, in LC, we made VN a thing of choices while KN is a thing of story only. I believe it's the same elsewhere, too. Well, at least those that have KN as a tag.

I find it funny that most of the comments on this thread are about the trans characters lol. But that said I'm going to have to side with those who reject the idea of trans people. I gave this game a try but what really annoys me is that some of the girls have masculine faces, and I don't understand why. It's a big turnoff. Girls should have girl faces, and boys should have boy faces. Also this game has no replay gallery so I can't go back and replay some scenes if I wanted to, unless I manually save the game each time a scene is about to begin.

All I can say to v0.03 is WTF!? That was written under the influence of a metric shit ton of acid. I have never said WTF so many times in such a short period. The fake choices that make the scenes 100 times worse if you choose to "try" to skip them... and so many other things that would probably require a spoiler tag.

Versions 0.01 & 0.02 were good, a little wtf here and there but overall worth playing even if they only female character that is actually attractive is the Kristy (the little sister) Present & Future versions.

That all being said, it's the dev's game and he can fuck it up anyway he wants to all while laughing. How ever I won't see it, I don't do acid and therefore cannot sit through another release like this last one.

So, with that I leave you with one final message...

Yeah other than the basic plot and charcaters it doesn't even feel like the same AVN as the first 2 versions so many things came out of left field (like time traveling T-rex's, Jeff Epstein being an LI's dad, etc). I mean overall it was still interesting enough to keep me reading to the end but, yeah, too many WTF? moments. I really hope Malignant sticks to its original tone more without so many unexpected scenes. At least with the "light" path. Dark path, meh, I just avoided that one for the most part, like Raptus I have to be in a pretty dark mood to begin with to enjoy that type of content like rape, torture and kill some LI's.

I really enjoyed the writing on this one. I think the writer could publish books, they are that good. However, they also do get a bit carried away with the absurdity at some points, but it still works nicely as it juxtaposes well with the more serious storyline. Not entirely sure what's up with the graphics..at times, with the sister, the scenes are pretty high def, very realistic, and then at other times it seems to be grainy and low def? I am not sure if it's just more cheeky play by the developer, or just to save on file size, but it can be a little jarring and unfortunate once it goes from that high quality back down again. Could be one of those things that was best not shown to us at all, lol. One last little point of frustration was simply the weird and bizarre decision by the MC to not do the deed with the sister as of this release when it was just...well, it made sense if you're going to bring us to the very brink, only to have a moment of principles. Then he goes and loses it to the pervy bestie, which is fine but not nearly as exceptional as the sister is, so a bit of a let down for me at least. The game as a whole though is made exceptional by the writing, and I suspect, as it moves along, will also be a very good one for the scenes as well.

I know it said it was a comedy slice of life but it's trying too hard to be funny, I see the t-rex, the future stuff and instead of laughing I'm just idk this game is too much of a joke. Glad I didn't pay for it because I'd be demanding a refund. Just cut back on the stuff that has nothing to do with the plot.

Just finished the current build. Some actually thought provoking and emotional scenes. Really good writing and story, but…
