this started out as short and sweet chapters on Archive of Our Own. That's where I'm grabbing my material from. I'll have to add a few chapters from now on. So maybe in another month?

Well, since the Dev is here I'm going to check it out. its always nice seeing the dev in the form. Really gives a game that community feel.
Though I will say the Koikatsu games aren't usually my thing.

Just tried it, there's not much here at the moment, more of a background on where the fathers mind is and his relationship with his daughter, the demo plays exclusively in his mind other than a few interactions with the daughter.
Demo Length: 5 minutes
Pros:
Daddy daughter is my favorite setting, second only to daddy step-daughter.
I liked the mixed media art with the backgrounds being real while they are animated, if you could add more elements of different art styles like The Amazing World of Gumball that would really be special.
Loli games are always in demand and are literally why this site exists so I'm happy to see this.
The duaghter was cute.
Female authors tend to write girls better so I'm looking forward to that, so many devs have very flat female characters, which sucks since they are the focus.
Cons:
The transitions are to slow between images, I don't play with sound so maybe that is part of the issue. But generally, I don't think a lot of those fading transitions were needed, I usually think of fading transitions for past events.
Image quality is low, though it does improve a bit from the start to end, also the images appear washed out.
I know this is only a demo showing whats in the plans, but we really need to be outside of the MC head.

Personal Con:
I'm not a fan of Koikatsu

I like to try different things. I kind of feel limited when it is just about following a predetermined story. So being forceful or not, having her being lewd or innocent, etc. I always find more appealing having the choice to do what I want. Don't know whether it is something you would like to do with your game, though.

I just wanted to check in and let you know that I’ve been thinking about you all. You've been in my heart, even while I’ve been juggling some unexpected things these past few weeks.

So, here’s the truth: I hit a bit of a snag. I had my heart set on creating a kissing scene using animation—something I thought would be beautiful and meaningful—but it didn’t turn out the way I hoped. I wasn’t happy with it at all. Between that and being away for work, I stepped back for a bit to reflect.

After giving it some serious thought, I’ve decided I won’t be pursuing animations for now. As much as I wanted to bring that kind of magic to life, I realized it was costing me more than it was giving. I need to focus on what I can do well—and that’s telling my story the way I always have.

I’ll be continuing with the format you know and love, because it lets me create with joy and sanity intact. And honestly? That’s how I’ll actually reach the finish line and make something truly worth sharing.

Down the road, maybe when tools catch up and make it more accessible, I’d love to revisit animation. But for now, I’m excited to keep going in a way that feels right—and real.
