I think I've been to five in the last 20 years, and four of those were requests by 1) a girlfriend, 2) my niece on her birthday, and 3) my Godson on his birthday (twice).

I'm a stay at home person so i find going to the movies pointless in this era of the internet.

Most stuff are garbage and predictable with the same Trope. So many time I predicated the ending of the movie in the first 20 minutes of it.

I've seen my local theaters parking lot packed to the brim pretty often but I'll rarely go because tons of awful movies have been releasing recently in my opinion.

I haven't seen a great movie in such a long time. seeing movies that use old jokes and old or bad ideas are the only thing out. I fall sleep at oscar won movies. but 90 percent cgi is the worst.. I lose so many IQ's watching those ridiculous movies.. what do you think about movies that have been out the last 5 years.. thank you for your time thank you for reading my thread

It's very hard to find a good movie these days.

I feel movies these days are trying really hard to cater to everyone. It's not just about inclusivity. So overall they are making a PG movie. But it is about gangsters. And needs action but no one gets hurt. It must pass censorship in Italy, Dubai and India and China. Story acting all takes a back seat.

This is true I feel like movies are scared to do more and just let them be bland.

I wait for BD/streaming & sailing with the jolly roger.
Quality of movies in recent years has gotten really worse though, I rarely watch them anymore, and completely stopped watching tv series for more than a year....

I stil enjoy movies at theatre, but not too many movies released that need big screen

At least in my city, after the lockdown the tickets and the popcorn tripled in price, the seats aren't that confortable and sometimes they don't even turn on the AC.
Before COVID I went to the movies frequently, but now it's better to just wait the digital release.

I go to public theaters that screens old movies and cultural associations that have indie films.

Not if they start adding special content that is not included in the blueray version. But I don't want them to do that xd

We used to get together at a friend's cafe. Have dinner and use the back room to watch movies. Every week a randomly selected director .. everyone added their nominated movie and we voted . I was good fun.


I was watching the Mad Max movies starting from the 1st one.. kinda reminded me of Terminator 1 and 2 ... Mad Max 3 is WTF is going on? who are these kids?? Why is Mad Max PG?
