Viking and and Kid of Darkness is what got me into Slaughter to prevailI think my icon may give away picture / icon gives away my fandom.
Finds over the last year for me for those looking for new sounds to try out:
Electric Callboy - German metal band with what I would consider light hearted content. House / Happy hardcore influence.
Samurai Pizza Cats - Found them through electric callboy.
BloodyWood - Feels early 2000's Nu Metal from India. I can't understand all the words, but it bangs.
Bad Omens - IDK Artifical Suicide is full on heavy metal, but not every song fits nicely in this box. Sort of like Sleep token a bit hard to box up.
Zeal & Ardor - Very unique sound. The band was made basically from a shit post on reddit to the artist on a dare. (Bet you can't make slave metal.)
Slaughter to prevail - I wrote them off years ago, but god damn they have skilled up. New shit bangs hard and started likely some of the older stuff too. Behelit is what got me to like them.(Also cool love letter to Berserk) Like a little gateway drug to deathcore.
I'm going to have to look them up nowDeathcore genre has been killing it lately with bands like Lorna Shore really stepping up.
Dude I love sabaton so muchFuck yeah I love all metal but I've been into sabaton lately!!
