I hate this too, so leave the textbox INVISIBLE!!!

I always use the RenPy textbook removal script. That texbox is pretty much always on the "most interesting" part of the screen.

Especially useful when the dev has, in his wisdom, made the textbox cover 1/3rd of the screen and given it the transparency of welders glass.

Of course it can be annoying, which is why there is often a setting to change it

But far too often there isn't. Hence the need for the mod.

It would be a problem if devs would think about rendering after they know where there textboxes are. Removing it is too simple, it mostly makes the text unreadable.
But having some transparency so you can and read the text, and see the fucking scene, wouldn't be a bad idea, I think.

I often make them almost transparent.

But I think just remove them and bad white/black behind or around the text would be best, so you can just read the text and continue the game. I think the one that though about pressing H as a solution to hide it, should be shot on site.... Come on man, I'm not going to press H every scene....

I personally rather would just 2 lines of text in a black below the scene, not on top of it, who first came up with that, should also be shot on site (probably, not wanting to sound to violent, but some retaliation for people that made my porn life a living hell, would be nice...)

Hate it with passion but I actually like where there is an option to adjust it without mods - win win for all.
