Definitely not a fan, maybe I just haven't played a good one. Though to double down on the fact that maybe I haven't played a good is the fact that the only one I have played is "Tangled Up" which I'm pretty sure is regarded as a shitty game in general soo yea.

the only games I dislike more than grinding ones are those where you have to be in the library at 11h45 the third monday of the month (random example).
I like games with stats increase, but not in porn games

I enjoy it if it's done well. I don't like pointless ones where you're just wasting time and skipping through days because you need to do something on a friday once a week to move the story along for example, but open world pursue the girls you want, get rewards, I do enjoy a bit. Summertime Saga was fun for me because there was always stuff to do.

I can tolerate some grind, even a lot of grind. And sometimes some grind would make good for a game. But to love? No.

It's all about the balance.

I like a certain amount of grind in the games here. Given that these are small indie devs, sometimes working solo, we can't exactly expect them to turn out Skyrim-lite with a sprawling main story and lots of side stories to keep us entertained, so some properly-implemented grind can draw out the game a bit and space the good stuff apart so the whole thing isn't over in half an hour. But the balance is tough and some games go too far into grindfest territory. I see grind as kind of like adding rice or some other filler to a dish. You are really here for the meat and sauce, but some filler can bulk up the dish cheaply and make it more satisfying. But you don't want it to dominate, just enhance.

If we are talking AVNs with fucking sandbox then hell fucking no...... I absolutely hate those kind of games. I play for escape and enjoyment of a hopefully good story. Hence the name Adult Visual NOVEL not hey lets make this dyumb fuck waste days doing dumb shit for no fucking reason other than they cant write a comprehendible story...

I personally love grinding games, to a point of course, such as Loser (Night City Productions). Wondering if I'm the odd duck out.

When I personally complain about grinding, it's because they decided to base the game around the mechanic instead of basing the mechanic around the game

For me if it is a good story that keeps my interest I am fine but there comes a point when its too much
