Mine might not be as uncommon, but I really love slingshotting. Been doing it for a few months, and im hooked, being able to hit the head of a spoon 20 meters away is so satisfying.

Any uncommon hobbies you guys might care to share?

I mean I guess. I like to cook, go swimming, play with the dogs, watch anime, and play Dwarf Fortress. That's about it most of the time. lol.
Cooking is a good hobby, you cook outside of the box? Or experiment?

I experiment with recipes I find on the net. I'm really into chicken right now for some reason.
You should really try some curry chicken if you havent already, looks up some south african stuff too. Check out vetkoek too ;)

Cooking is a big one. The strangest one for me might be that I learn historical languages for the heck of it. I've studied old Norse, old English, classical Latin. There's something about cases and complex declinations that is just fun to me

I've tried learning Spanish I just don't have the patience for language

Patience really is a big part of it, but that's something you can build up by practicing.
Old Norse is really neat, and quite grammatically complex

I remember trying to read older English books, and just the pure headaches they supplied me. Probably not as old as what you're referencing, but old enough to make me put them down

Yeah you were probably reading early modern. Maybe 18th century? Old English refers to Anglo-saxon English spoken roughly from 600-1100 AD. Even native speakers need to treat it as a foreign language for how much it has changed over time.

In one way though, early modern can be even more of a headache, because of the popular style of writing at the time was to be very floral and witty in the language, which leads to a lot of looong expressions that are really obtuse

Gardening, Boxing, Bodybuilding. I used to do some very amateurish woodworking, but now I can hardly find the time :(

I am going to go with making a lewd game as a unique hobby.
